January 2026: Free valuations at The Auction Café in Lichfield

Two-day jewellery event starts New Year

STEP into 2026 with Richard Winterton Auctioneers and free valuations with our specialists at The Auction Café in Lichfield.

The popular coffee shop at 34 Market Street is open seven days a week, from 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sundays – although please note our festive opening times as we count down to Christmas and the New Year.

Looking ahead, free valuations of jewellery, watches, gold and silver with Midlands gemmologist Georgina Southam FIRV FGA DGA BA (Hons) take place at the café on Tuesdays January 6, 13, 20 and 27 between 9.30am and 3pm.

And we are starting the New Year with a special double jewellery valuation across two days, as Georgina will also be there on Wednesday, January 7, between 9.30am and 3pm.

Different specialists offer valuations on Wednesdays later in the month, from 9.30am to 12.30pm both days.

On Wednesday, January 17, Richard Winterton will be offering valuations of general antiques and collectables plus advice on house clearances and the auction process.

And January 21 will see David Fergus also evaluating general antiques and collectables, with a special focus on glass, ceramics, decorative art, paintings and pictures.

On Thursday January 29, Phil Ives will be at the café for a special valuation event focussing on stamps and postal history, running from 9.30am and 3pm.

As well as a host of valuations, The Auction Café offers speciality coffee, tea, soft drinks, ice cream, cakes, cream teas, pastries, toasties, bagels and savoury snacks seven days a week in comfortable surroundings.
