Rolex GMT-Master 1675 fetches golden price at Lichfield auction

ROLEX watches, ceramics and an iconic local scene were amongst the hotly-contended lots with Richard Winterton Auctioneers at The Lichfield Auction Centre today, Monday, August 18.

The 1974 18ct yellow gold GMT-Master 1675 on an 18ct gold Jubilee bracelet, pictured above, attracted bids online and over the telephone, finally selling at £13,500.

The previous lot, a 29mm Rolex Yacht-Master, sold at £2,800.

Also selling at £2,800 was a pair of diamond floral cluster earrings by renowned jewellery designer Andrew Grima.

Elsewhere in the auction, a large collection of ceramics – mostly Morcroft but also featuring examples by Dennis China Works, Poole and Cobridge – plus a number of folio books, totalled £6,800, and a large collection of Beswick figures totalled £2,400.

The sale also included a signed limited edition print by LS Lowry, 'Level Crossing, Burton Upon Trent', selling at £1,700.
