Rare 2008 San Diego Comic-Con Star Wars LEGO boxed set in Tamworth toys auction

A RARE promotional Star Wars LEGO boxed set from the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con is to be auctioned at Tamworth.

Guided £1,500 to £2,000, the scarse merchandise features in Richard Winterton Auctioneers' upcoming Toys & Trains Sale starting at 9.30am on Wednesday, June 24, at The Tamworth Auction Rooms.

Acquired by the vendor at the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con and originally limited to 1,200 sets, the Star Wars Clone Wars package includes a boxed and sealed Hailfire Droid and Spider Droid set 7670 and a Droids Battle Pack 7654 branded Star Wars 30th Anniversary.

Also included are a Captain Rex and quantity of Clone Troopers figures within a plastic bag and a 2008 Clone Wars comic poster with figure gallery to the reverse.

The package is contained in a special gatefold outer box, pictured top of page, in very good condition and branded San Diego Comic-Con 2008.

View in person at the saleroom in Church Street between 10am and 4pm on Tuesday, June 23.
