Sale date Monday 10th November

MORE than 100 lots of religious art will feature in Richard Winterton Auctioneers' sale on Monday, November 10.

This fascinating single-owner collection was discovered during a recent house clearance in Tamworth.

The collection includes more than 100 lots of religious art spanning  from the 18th century to the early 20th century, predominantly Orthodox icons from the Russian, Greek and Ukrainian schools.

There are also Polish and Russian bronze sculptures, eastern European wooden carved folk art, and a small group of Indo-Persian miniatures.

"It is a remarkable selection showcasing the artistry and spirituality of multiple cultures and centuries," said a spokesperson for Richard Winterton Auctioneers.

The collection goes under the hammer at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Wood End Lane, Fradley Park, in the Antique & Home Sale on Monday, November 10, starting at 9am.

Viewing in person takes place on Friday, November 7, between 10am and 4pm and the catalogue goes live online a week beforehand via our Auction Calendar.
