Guitars and effects pedals strum up £5,000 at Lichfield auction

Musical sale is a smash hit

GUITARS galore and effects pedals struck a chord with bidders at The Lichfield Auction Centre this week.

The huge single-owner collection totalled £5,250 under the hammer with Richard Winterton Auctioneers on Monday, July 21.

A Fender Blues Deluxe Tweed amp sold at £300 and popular six-strings included a Dean Hardtail, sold at £200.

Other electric guitars under the hammer each selling at £170 were an Epiphone SG, Yamaha Pacifica ‘Tele’ style and BC Rich KKW Warlock in a coffin case.

A huge selection of stompboxes also sold well, with popular lots including a group of MXR effects pedals – Wylde Overdrive ZW-44, Distortion III M-115, Dyna Comp M102, Phase 90 M-101, Micro Flanger M152, Micro Chorus M148, Distortion+ M104, Black Label Chorus ZW38 and Carbon Copy analogue delay M169 – making £300.

A group of BOSS compact pedals – DD-3 Digital Delay, CH-1 Super Chorus, CS-3 Compression Sustainer, NS-2 Noise Suppressor and TU-3 Chromatic Tuner – sold at £240 with three twin pedals – CE-20 Chorus Ensemble, RT-20 Rotary Sound Processor and GP-20 Guitar Amp Processor – selling at £260.
