Celebrity Antiques Road Trip to film at Lichfield auction house – and you’re invited

TELEVISION cameras will be at The Lichfield Auction Centre next month to film an episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

Filming for Series 13 takes place at Richard Winterton Auctioneers on Monday, July 1, and people are invited to come to the Fradley Park saleroom to watch the auction action.

The BBC show involves antiques experts accompanying celebrities on a road trip around the UK searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction.

Auctioneer Richard Winterton will be yielding the gavel on the day and is inviting people to his Wood End Lane saleroom.

“We can’t yet reveal who the celebrities or experts will be but people are very welcome to come along on the day and watch the auction,” he said.

“It’s always fun being involved with popular television programmes and we’re delighted to be able to accommodate the Celebrity Antiques Road Trip during our Antiques & Home Sale on July 1.”

People coming along don’t need to book, just turn up in good time – the auction centre opens at 9am with the sale starting at 9.30am.

Previous episodes of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip have featured stars such as Gemma Collins, Gavin and Stacey’s Joanna Page, Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden and Dianne Buswell, Dragons’ Den business legend Sara Davies and Love Islanders Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu and Davide Saclimenti.

Other celebrities have included Samantha Fox, Amanda Barrie, Stephanie Beacham, Brenda Edwards, Linda Robson, Dick and Dom, Tamzin Outhwaite, EastEnders stars Laila Morse and Rita Simons, David Blunkett, Lesley Garrett, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Paul Merton.

TV cameras last came to The Lichfield Auction Centre in April to film a bumper six episodes of BBC Bargain Hunt, with one featuring GB sports legends Sally Gunnell, Mark Foster, Dame Sarah Storey and Richard Whitehead for an upcoming episode celebrating the coming summer of international sport.
