Unlike many Auctioneers, we do not ‘cherry pick’ or ‘farm out’ items of lesser value to other firms. We prefer to handle the whole clearance ourselves, thus ensuring the higher value and more specialised items are offered in the relevant sale.
All items are sold at The Lichfield Auction Centre modern salerooms which caters for all aspects of the Auction World - from household effects to fine art, oriental, cars to medals and fine wines. Whatever you discover amongst the contents of a house clearance it's to your benefit, even if you are not sure what you have. 'It's better to safe than sorry'. Our team of experienced and qualified experts are on hand to offer their advice and up to date market knowledge.
We offer complete and part house clearance services, emptying the house of all/part of the contents, properly disposing of all that cannot be sold and clearing the property afterwards, ensuring that it is clean and tidy for the new occupants. This includes items which do not meet current fire / electrical regulations.
We can also recommend a cleaning company if you require the property to be 'spotless' before selling or renting.
Where clients are downsizing / emigrating, we can advise and organise the haulage and sale through auction their excess furniture, ornaments, pictures, electricals, tools and garden ornaments to suit their time schedule. A representative will meet the client on site to discuss their individual requirements and explain the costs involved.
Paperwork & Sale Proceeds
General receipts are given at the time of collection for goods consigned to auction with us. Email or postal notification is sent approximately a week prior to the auction advising clients’ date of sale(s), Lot numbers and pre-sale estimates. Once everything has been sold an itemised cheque with all fees deducted is sent by post to the account holder. Bank transfer of funds can be made by special request.
Our initial advice is free of charge and we are always delighted to share our expertise - 'know the price before you sell'. Quotes for house clearances and downsizing solutions are given on an individual basis based on location, timings and logistics.
