Tools galore! Festool, Axminster, Stihl and Makita plus Ford Ranger in Lichfield auctions
November 6th, 2025
24th November and 1st December
TOOLS dubbed ‘a tradesperson’s dream’ are set to go under the hammer in Lichfield – soundly establishing that auctions are not all about antiques.
The array of top quality Festool electrical gear plus equipment by Stihl, Axminster and Makita will be sold across two of Richard Winterton Auctioneers’ upcoming sales at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Wood End Lane, Fradley Park.
Also included in the single owner collection are a Ford Ranger Wildtrak truck, an Ifor Williams trailer and a large quantity of seasoned wood.
The Ford, trailer, Stihl, Axminster and Makita tools feature on Monday, November 24, with 52 lots of Festool equipment going under the hammer the following week on Monday, December 1.
Further elements from the same collection will be included in subsequent sales.
“This collection is a tradesperson’s dream,” said auctioneer Tom Winterton.
“Most of the tools are unused or in barely used condition, perfect for professional tradespeople or DIY enthusiasts with an eye for quality equipment.
“They would also make brilliant Christmas presents.
“It is absolutely top-notch equipment with the Festool items featuring the brand’s signature stackable boxes, which are ingeniously well-engineered and feature detailed instructions.
“The Axminster and Stihl tools in the previous week’s sale are equally impressive, as are the trailer, Ford Ranger and the amazing stockpile of seasoned wood, and we anticipate a huge amount of interest from bidders.”
The collection of Festool gear coming to auction on December 1 includes an impressive array of carpentry tools, batteries, chargers, accessories, storage boxes and trolleys.
There are cordless drills, domino jointing tools, a plunge track saw, sliding compound mitre saw, circular saw, angle grinder, dust extractor, a multitude of sanders and routers, Systainer storage boxes and replaceable spares such as circular saw blades, sanding sheets and discs.
The previous week’s sale, November 24, starts with the 2019 Ford Ranger Wildtrak TDCI automatic pick-up truck in dark grey with hardshell covered bed, fitted with tow bar and electrics.
Lot two is the 2022 Ifor Williams twin axle tipping trailer with cage and shuttered sides and electric or manual tipping mechanism.
The sale also features Stihl petrol chainsaws, petrol leaf blower, cordless disc cutter, accessories and parts.
Equipment by Axminster includes a Trade industrial spindle moulder, dust extractor, floor-standing pillar drill, radial drills, spindle sander and scroll saw.
In addition, there are Makita trim routers, engineers’ vices, storage crates, spare parts, cutter sets and screws.
The November 24 auction also includes a large selection of seasoned hardwoods such as spalted elm, oak, sycamore and alder.
Tom added: “This is a fantastic single owner collection which just proves that the auction world is not all about antiques.
“We handle a huge amount of tools, vehicles and garden equipment.
“There’s a hot market at auction for the contents of garages and sheds – if it has a re-sale value then we can sell it.”
Seasoned wood in the November 24 sale includes spalted elm, oak, sycamore and alder.
The truck, trailer, seasoned wood, Stihl, Axminster and Makita tools feature at The Lichfield Auction Centre on Monday, November 24, starting at 9am, with viewing in person on Friday, November 21, between 10am and 4pm
The 52 lots of Festool gear go under the hammer from 9am the following Monday, December 1, with viewing 10am-4pm on Friday, November 28.
