New menu of free valuations at The Auction Café in Lichfield this October

DISCOVER if you're sitting on some hidden treasure with free valuations at our popular Lichfield coffee shop this October.

The Auction Café by Richard Winterton Auctioneers at 34 Market Street is open seven days a week, from 9am-4pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sundays.

Free valuations of jewellery, watches, gold and silver with Midlands gemmologist Georgina Southam FIRV FGA DGA BA (Hons) take place on Tuesdays October 7, 14, 21 and 28 between 9.30am and 3pm.

Different specialists offer valuations on most Wednesdays from 9.30am-12.30pm.

On Wednesday, October 1, Stuart Hay will be assessing hi-fi and audio equipment, cameras, optical technology and pens.

October 8 will see numismatics expert Phil Bridge offering valuations of coins and banknotes.

On October 15, Jon Price will be evaluating toys, trains, Sindy, Barbie and die-cast models including Dinky, Corgi and Matchbox.

And on October 29, Richard Winterton will be offering valuations of general antiques and collectables plus advice on house clearances and the auction process.

October also sees a special valuation day for stamps and postal history, with philately expert Phils Ives assessing items for free from 9.30am and 3pm on Thursday, October 23.

As well as a host of valuations, The Auction Café offers speciality coffee, tea, soft drinks, ice cream, cakes, cream teas, pastries, toasties, bagels and savoury snacks seven days a week in comfortable air-conditioned surroundings.

Seating is also available outside on Lichfield's historic Market Street.
