Macmillan Coffee Mornings at Lichfield and Tamworth raise £287 for charity
MACMILLAN Coffee Mornings held by Richard Winterton Auctioneers have raised more than £280 for the charity, which supports people living with cancer.
Staff baked cakes aplenty for coffee mornings during the Antiques & Home Sale at The Lichfield Auction Centre on Monday and Tuesday, September 25 and 26, and at the Tamworth auction on Wednesday, September 27.
Senior valuer Sarah Williams said: “I want to thank everyone who supported the Macmillan Coffee Morning we held throughout last week, whether you contributed with biscuits and cakes, bought cakes or donated a monetary contribution.
“The total we can send to Macmillan is £287.69 which is fantastic. £49.50 of this was donated via the QR code, whihc means the charity can claim gift aid on that money.
“The furniture department donated £50 towards the total and the jar on reception contributed a further £50.03.
“As £247.00 would pay for a Macmillan nurse for a whole day, this really will make a difference to someone.”
A team from Richard Winterton Auctioneers also took part in a Macmillan Coffee Morning organised by Burton Market Hall traders on Friday, September 29.
