Stars Wars and Batman sets soar
A COLLECTION of sealed boxed LEGO sets has totalled £3,630 at auction in Tamworth.
The Toys & Trains Sale at The Tamworth Auction Rooms today, Wednesday, March 25, saw a dozen lots go under the hammer.
Highlights included a Batman Batcave: The Penguin and Mr Freez, reference 7783, selling at £580, with a DC Universe Super Heroes Batman: Arkham Asylum Breakout, ref. 10937, fetching £240 and a Monster Fighters Haunted House, ref. 10228, also making £240.
A number of sealed boxed LEGO Star Wars sets took off during the sale, including:
- Jabba's Sail Barge, ref. 6210, sold £340
- AT-AT Walker, ref. 8129, 30th Anniversary The Empire Strikes Back, sold £200
- Limited edition Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser, ref. 7754, sold £180
- Imperial Star Destroyer, ref. 6211, sold £320
- Trade Federation MTT, ref. 7662, sold £640
- AT-TE Walker, ref. 7675, sold £300
- Ewok Village, ref. 10236 sold £420.
Elsewhere in the auction, a very large limited edition Star Wars Clone Wars Yoda statue from 2006 sold at £280.
