RARE LORD OF THE RINGS BOOK DISCOVERY

An extremely rare edition of Tolkien’s works has been discovered by experts at Richard Winterton Auctioneers.

The book titled ‘The Hobbit’ is a scarce first edition, dating from 1937. This unassuming linen bound volume was discovered amongst a large consignment of books from a Staffordshire client. Interest in Tolkien memorabilia is enormous largely thanks to the hugely successful recent big budget films.

This edition is in fine condition and will carry a £1,000-1,500 estimate when it is offered for public auction in the Collectors Sale at the Burton salerooms on 20th December. Phone 01283 511224 for any further information and viewing times.
